When does a husband inherit his wives vow to God in a divorce
SS
Hi Darnell. Can you rephrase that question? What do you mean by 'inherit his wives vow to God in a divorce?

Most couples at wedding make a vow to God (they vow to God (till death do we part). God does not like breaking any vows or promises. Remarriage by either would be a big chance of not be a part of the Elect for breaking that vow they made to God. It is mentioned in the Bible if she had no part or cause of the breakup and lived a Godly life the Husband would inherit her vow to God and make way for remarriage. He would be responsible to never marry before her death.

Can you show and explain scripture for what you say? This part- It is mentioned in the Bible if she had no part or cause of the breakup and lived a Godly life the Husband would inherit her vow to God and make way for remarriage. He would be responsible to never marry before her death. Of course you are right about not breaking marriage vows, better not to vow than to break a vow… Matthew chapter 5 well worth reading….. and then 2 more times……Though I do wonder if there be spiritual meaning as well , and only God gives that knowledge by his Son……

Hi Damel I believe the verse you are looking for is Matthew 19:6. Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. It's not a vow made by the spouses. It's a quote from our Lord. GB

That's not Scriptural bible never said that There's no vow to inherit in as much as God hates divorce Mala 2:16 Jesus reiterating it in Matt 19:8.....Moses because of the hardness of your heart He allowed you to put away (Divorce) your wives,BUT FROM THE BEGINNING IT WAS NOT SO. Couples make vows to themselves before God as the Deity that instituted marriage which makes it a forever thing because "whatever God doeth shall be forever" For clarity read and meditate on all this scriptures 1Cor7:10&11 10 And unto the married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband: 11 But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband: and let not the husband put away his wife. Matt 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.
