Please pray for both my husband and my daughter. I have been married to my husband for 18 years now. He claims he has accepted salvation; however, he is so angry all the time, his skepticism and judgementalism is neverending, and he sees no issues with watching shows with the worst language and nudity (Yellowstone, for example). I do realize it is not my place to question someone's salvation, but I find it so hard to believe that it is sincere when he does nothing to strengthen it. If it was not for me and my daughter, he would not even go to church. As for my daughter, she is 13 years old and also claims to have accepted salvation; however, SHE is not in any hurry to get baptized, and has such confusion with so many things both written in the Bible and in general. For example, she is bordering on extreme feminism to the point she does not agree with the wife being submissive to the husband, or the man being the head of the household or the church. She does not see why, if God loves everybody, it is so wrong for a man to love another man, or a woman to love another woman. 'If love is love, then why does it matter?' She has stated that, more or less, each person should have the right to believe what they want, because once they die, why does it matter? She has stated that she believes the soul does not feel pain, that pain and feelings come from the brain, so once the brain is dead, how can you endure neverending pain in Hell? I have tried to explain to her how the Bible explains things to the best of my ability, but I don't feel that any of her thinking has changed, so I am resigned to prayer and guidance. Please pray that I can be a good example of what a child of God should be and help them both come to a realization that something needs to change. Whether it be a true acceptance of salvation, or just a dedication of their life to Christ. I really don't know what to do. I am so scared that if something were to happen to them, that I might never see them again... I will say, a huge bonus is: regardless of what she is believing right now, my daughter does still have a desire to voluntarily go to church. So I do realize that is a huge win! And we are currently attending a church that preaches (and from what I can tell, practices) from the KJV Bible.

I am praying alongside you πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ» my daughter who was already 30 and deeply and happily immersed in her own life when God found me, has a deep resistance to anything that resembles 'religion'. Her stated view is that IF there is a God, he would never judge people as wicked and condemn them to hell if they're 'good' people. I understand this because I used to feel the same way. I've tried to tell her that it's more complex than that but she refuses to listen. I've come to see in my own short walk with this, that the Holy Spirit is the one who works in me and ultimately is the one who opens my eyes to the truth. It feels like constant 'aha' moments and recognition and I pray constantly for him to soften my daughter's heart and convict her of this living truth. 😊 the changes within me are profound and I pray that I can be a testimony to her just with my life...I will pray for you and your husband and daughter as well...πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜Š

What she means is SHE is not wicked . That God would not condemn her etc. Pray then not so much she will be saved but rather God will convict her of her own folly and sin and reveal in some measure her own heart to herself in such a manner it is irrefutable. For Unless she sees or understands the true nature character and disposition of her own heart ( β€œ and who can know it?”) she is lost undone and doomed to be damned forever .

I will be in agreement with prayer here. I suppose the question (one of them) is what would your husband be like or does he behave any differently around you then when he is by himself. Does he like to flaunt this behavior with his entertainment to get a rise out of you or is he resistant that he feels restrained in your presence? Was any of this "acceptance" of salvation an independent thing or was it just him following along to keep the peace? Does he have any concept of the fear of the Lord or fellowship of the saints or see any value to that? As for your daughter I can't help wondering what friends are influencing her and/or social media. There are MANY who have come out of that lifestyle with good testimonies; I am probably not allowed on this site to mention specific names but it isn't too hard to find this. I ASSUME your church also has a clear understanding of the topic of "alternate lifestyles" and the literal reality of heaven and hell. LIving in fear of course doesn't help anyone. The fear and admonition of the Lord needs to be present in your own walk; I am not sure how much time you have to be alone with God or if you find resistance-I will pray that whether they like it or not they will know you mean business when in your prayer closet. Spiritual warfare; of course is something to keep in mind. The Lord is coming soon; if I were a betting man I would say that it is not talked about or in reality a very big hope people consider; I will give your church the benefit of the doubt and pray that they won't just preach it but live out as a reality the fear and the true "agape" love which makes everything else look cheap. May He give you the grace to fight for your marriage. Agape. RIch P

I was Baptized in the Roman Catholic Church in 1949. It's been rough going but I believe that consciousness is the one thing we take with us and that God imprints His Essence upon us when we die, called the Beatific Vision, a little frightening but it makes alot of sense. May the Lord bless and keep us.
