Pray for me to get assurance from God that i am truly forgiven of my terrible sin filled past. yes i have asked for forgiveness however i have been married twice with my first husband still living and our church then dismembered me saying i was living in adultery. now, our same church teaches it is ok to remarry with a spouse still living. i begged my husband not to divorce me because we were both at fault and to try to make our marriage work but he refused. i asked God to forgive me of this marriage. I cant get this feeling of knowing im not in adultery because it has been instilled in my head. please help me understand what to do. it seems i cant reach the throne.
