Welcome! The site seems stable enough to send out more invites to join. We have testers in the coming days who will be checking everything. Chris is one of the regulars and long time contributor from the previous KJBO discussion pages before recent changes. His following up about it prompted this development project to be finished off. Why it's a separate site now? Before the recent attack on KJBO, it was discovered that the discussions area was the top liability for database performance. It was a bottleneck that adversely affected the speed of the main chapter reading pages. After the attack, which hackers infiltrated the server and deleted everything but left a note demanding bitcoin, it was decided to put it on pause, because it would all need to be redone from scratch. Bible Discussions was considered to make as a separate website- now this BibleTalk website. We want it to support the King James Bible reading community, but don't want security or other risks. Much time was spent moderating the former pages and it is hoped this new format can be self-moderating by community members. Some differences in this new BibleTalk forum: Longer text inputs, more sorting options, 🤗 emojis, search, user profiles, Bible reference links work on this site like the previous one, like Phil 4:8. This is hosted on a modern cloud network that should be fast and reliable around the world. We also made a whole new KJBO website hosted on a more stable network, which is called the 'mobile' site. https://m.kingjamesbibleonline.org/ It already has more reading-related features than the main KJBO site. Your feedback is welcome- if enough users prefer that we may make that the main default site in the future. Search is also a priority as millions of searches happen on the site. https://searchbible.net this site is being proposed to replace the homepage current default search and feedback is welcome for this too. It is a nice 'instant search' that is forgiving of typos. (the site is not 100% complete so side category filters probably don't work yet). Here's a fun experimental KJV emoji search that was also put together: https://kjv-emojis.pages.dev What do you think of this BibleTalk site currently?

Thanks for your welcome Admin. It is wonderful to be able to share with one another around God's Word and thank you to all of you who are making this possible. You asked for comments/suggestions, so a few things that quickly come to mind: a. It is interesting that the Google Search engine does not give Bibletalk.cc as an option to select, rather going back to the more popular Bibletalk.tv. Maybe, once this Site is fully operational and the web address changes somewhat, it will become an option. I say this, since presently many won't know of its availability. In fact, Google AI indicates that Bibletalk.cc and Bibletalk.tv and connected in some way. b. I wasn't able to detect that Bibletalk.cc is based on & uses the KJB. This could be an important point to make clear or it might bring some confusion when quoting from it or in discussion in support of it. c. You mentioned that it was "hoped that this new format can be self-moderating by community members". Maybe to some extent, yes. But for removing unacceptable posts, the community would not have that capability. d. It would be nice to centralize as much of the features of this Site onto one Site (as was seen in KJB Online). Though I realize that for reasons you have shared (i.e. security aspects), this may not be the best way to go. Otherwise, a great development for those who love God's Word and want to learn and discuss it with other like-minded folk. Just sending the above as my initial thoughts on these new developments take shape. Thanks again for all your hard work. Blessings to all.

Thank you Chris for the feedback. Because the site is new it's not yet in Google or other search results. This site is associated with KJV, and the KJBO site will soon link to it from the former discussion pages. One option is to change the logo to KJV BibleTalk but want visitors to know that all Bible questions are welcome. If members can help by clicking the Report button for any posts that doesn't belong then it will keep it clean. Facebook and other social chats work this way without active moderators. There's also some programmable safety nets that will screen for certain keywords commonly used in spam posts. Some other updates will be made today but the site will soon be ready to do a wider launch to users from Facebook and the KJBO site. Thank you for being a part of this site launch!

Thanks Admin for those clarifications.
