I'm trying to teach about heaven. Do you know of any good material online that I may study and use?

Keep away from ‘revelations’ and God showed me books etc . There is a reason why there is not a lot of material about heaven in the Bible and much that is given is hard to understand Thats not to say our thinking shouid not eve heavenward but it’s more focused on Christ than any ‘pictorial’ pictures of it so to speak . Read the scriptures is your best bit. I think of the Bible often like a big jigsaw puzzle . The first thing you do is Gid the sides and corner pieces . They are the easiest pieces to identify and put together . And cane likened unto the “ milk of the Word .once they are all found and fixed in position we know that everything else is inside and there is nothing outside of that framework . Then the real work begins . I suggest that no one attempts to do the sky but straight away for they are the hardest to put together though that is not to say we don’t get a few pieces right. But our knowledge of ‘earthly’ things is greater and more identifiable and we soon get clumps of pieces which we position here or there where we think they go . But often as we progress fid we were wrong ad need to reposition them . How much the more the ‘sky’ bits? At some point we recognise the picture before it is finished ad progress then goes in leaps and bounds. Patience is needed and persistence . Heaven in Christ is secured but He is the treasure and light of it .

You could if your teaching about heaven ,start at the very beginning ? Gen 1:1 . In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth . That Heaven was also created by God . But it was not that heaven that was in darkness but the earth. Gen 1:2 . For that heaven needed no sun or moon for God was the light thereof . And it was not God that was or is in darkness but man . For God is light and in Him thee is o darkness nor shadow of turning “. Thus is it written “ They that sat in darkness have seen a great light”. But in Gen 1 :8 we have another Heaven that of where the birds fly . If you have two people representing Gen 1:1 of heaven and earth . Then sit heaven down and go to Gen 1:2 . Then ask what then is this heaven in 1:8 and bring another person on . Between the first heaven and earth and standing . You get a good visual representation of foundational truth . Then of course you can point out that God “ made the stars also “ . Is that it also another heaven ? Where the planets and stars are. Thus you have three heavens . Two of which are in the framework of the “ earth “ from chapter 1:2 onwards . So we then then have Gen 2:1 Thus the (2) heavens and the earth were finished …….”. Then we can go to the letter of Paul 2 cOrinth12:2 who speaks of a man who “ was caught up into the third heaven “ of which it is not lawful to talk about . You see I said it was not so easy . But there is a lot of none sense talked about heaven much of it sensationalism and sells books but of no substance . Lay a good foundation that can later be built on to the edifying of all .

Rev. Elisha, the effort to learn about heaven in detail is to be appreciated. But I think it is impossible for human imagination to get even a vague picture of heaven. “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered in to the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9) Heaven is where a believer is with Christ. A person who is in Christ is not concerned about other details of heaven, such as the shape, size and location of it, or the stuff it is made of. Although we find many descriptions of heaven in the Bible, they are mere images of what is real; human brain cannot contain the glory of God’s design; we are to believe without material evidences. That is Faith. When we read that the streets of heaven are made of pure gold, it means chiefly, they are free from corrosion and decay: meaning, heaven is everlasting or eternal. Because gold was the only ancient material that could withstand corrosion and aging, the Bible uses it to symbolize the eternal nature of heaven. The precious stones that make heaven colourful are not mere jewels. What makes a ‘stone’ precious is its quality of reflecting light beautifully; it has no light of its own; it is invisible in the dark, and no better than an ordinary pebble! But in the presence of a light, it shines! It draws light from the source, splits it into various colours and emit captivating brilliance. This beautifully mirrors the believer’s role in heaven: we have no light of our own, but we beautifully manifest the light from our Creator. It pleased God to give sonship to anyone who puts his faith in His only son, Jesus Christ. By faith believers share His life; they share in the divine sonship of Jesus Christ; they are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. They absorb and radiate the light that is from God. This light impulse from Jesus holds the whole body of believers together into a beautiful ‘oneness’ with Christ. In this new reality, the fear of death, worry, enmity, and hatred vanish – leaving only eternal peace and happiness; praise and worship. This makes the place Heaven. A true believer always receives life and light from Jesus; he radiates Christ’s glory everywhere, whether he is in earth or in heaven. But the world may not be able to see the divine light because they are blind, they live in darkness. The Bible says so. The multitude did not recognise the ‘True Light’ (Jesus Christ) even when He walked among them for years.. What we have to do as servants of God is to highlight the true path to heaven. There is only one way, therefore the way is more important. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). Jesus Christ is the only way. “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat” (Matthew 7:13-14) There are many around us who seek for help in their life’s problems. A believer knows the answer is Jesus Christ. Let us approach him boldly for every of our needs; Let us lead those in darkness toward the True Light. God Bless
