God has commanded all men to repent, what he commands , happens, but all things are not complete until the end, when he reconciles all things to himself…Ephesians 1:9 and Colossians 1:20 Acts 17:24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device. And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: I strongly recommend as much as you can sticking with reading the scriptures in the King James standard version , as often as you can, and ask your Father in heaven for understanding, if you are genuinely seeking him as scriptures say, and obeying as much as you can, God the Father of all things will himself , draw you to his Son Jesus………so if you have very well read the scriptures , you will better be able to test all things, and it’s your salvation on the line , so what God says matters far above any man, James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. Psalms 73:28 But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works. Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God. John 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. Do you best to do Gods precepts, and what Jesus and Paul , Peter, John, James taught, And Jesus, by the power given him by his Father, hopefully will increase your knowledge of all “ parables” Mark 4:34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples. Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them: And it just may be you will be “ invited higher” Luke 14:10 But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee. And never forget this verse, no matter how friendly a “ pastor may seem “ Romans 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. So whether your drinking “ milk of the word”. Or start to get some of the “stronger meat” ( stronger spiritual food) be very sure what you believe or teach is Gods truth, not men’s opinions. 1 Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Hebrews 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Feel free to question me on what I’ve said, hope you get some spiritual blessings..

John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. Don’t be anxious as you read that you don’t understand all scripture, keep reading and hope for proper understanding , we all have a need to. “ grow in grace” 2 Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen. Think of that as growin in “ stature” to reach a higher understanding…..

Let's see. Do you mean books that teach Bible study techniques? Or just how to study the Bible better? Here's a simple, easy to do trick that will practically instantly improve your knowledge and understanding of the Bible. Find a KJV Bible with section headings. Like this: https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/outline-1-Timothy/ It is 1 Timothy chapter 2 and you'll notice it's an outline of the book. One of the headings (2.b.) is Instructions to Women. Here's the quick trick: turn that heading into a question. For example: what are Paul's instructions about women? List them. Write them out. Verses 11-14 are kind of tough. But, for now, focus maybe on verses 9-10. You could even turn the heading into another question: Why did Paul give these instructions to women? And that's all there is to it! Give it a try. I guarantee your understanding will skyrocket!

While on the face of it that is ok given your example on the subject of women speaking etc ,It would seem to be a purely intellectual approach to understanding the scriptures rather than a very prayerful approach and to lean not upon our own understanding but rather upon Him who inspired what was written in the first place . Why? Because on that very subject what is generally taught by that method is not the foundation of why Paul taught on the subject . He took the matter to the very garden of Eden and tofu Eves deception . Now if that is the foundation of his reasoning how is it so many avoid the issue? Or think it is on some other grounds? Just saying . What that means then is a different kettle of fish !

Hi Tabz. I would start a reading program in the new and old testament. And get a Strong's Concise Concordance and Vine's Concise Dictionary of the Bible. There's also very good reputable commentaries you can get. I've used the five volume commentary books by J Vernon mcgee "Thru the Bible" Also Chuck missler has a book called Through the Bible in 24 hrs. It's basically an outline. There's also a Bible Handbook that summarizes Every book in the bible with charts and time lines. Study the Bible with research and prayer is most important. I hope this helps. God bless.

Hi Tabz Not sure why some folks are trying to convert you. Your question does not suggest you are in need of salvation, but are curious to learn more, having been converted. I can remember, some 49 years ago, as a newly born again Christian, wanting to know everything there is to know of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. All those years of study and I'm still as thirsty for knowledge. It's difficult to direct you, not knowing where you are with the Lord. Pray for understanding and wisdom if you are a new Christian, if so, begin in Genesis, some Psalms and Proverbs, including any of the four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. If you are not yet a Christian, talk to someone from a local King James bible believing church, do a Google search for one. Expand your question to explain why you are asking to explain whether you have, or have not, been converted (saved, born again). In either case using the method above, praying and reading your bible will open doors wide for you, and bring you a lifetime of discovery. I hope and pray that our heavenly Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, will lead you in the way everlasting. Bill
